Bryan Engstrom - Coach
Bryan Engstrom got into endurance racing in 2012 as a challenge to himself to get back into shape after college, work, and family had taken priority. Bryan was a 3-season runner (cross country, winter tack, spring track) in high school, but like so many people he fell off the wagon searching for that work/life balance. A triathlon training course at his local YMCA sparked his interest. Several months later he was competing in his first triathlon (Olympic), and placed third in his AG. He has been a competitive age group athlete ever since.
When he’s not racing or training, Bryan works as a civil engineer in the area of material testing. Together with his partner, Sarah, they have 5 kids ranging in age from 13 to 7. At races his cheering section can not be missed. Bryan continues to race having learned to balance work, family, and training.
Here are some highlights of Bryan’s endurance career:
Dave White - Coach
Dave started endurance racing over ten years ago. His determination came from the need to shed weight gained due to the stress of a demanding career. His obsession has grown from small sprint races into some of the toughest races he could find (listed below). Drawing from extensive knowledge in pacing, nutrition, and mental resilience, Dave helps his athletes overcome challenges and achieve top performance. He enjoys helping his athletes stay accountable for their workouts, offering them insight into trade secrets, and supporting them as they build the physical and mental skills they need to rise above the competition.
Dave’s accomplishments span from sprint triathlons to half and full Ironman competitions. He has also run over a dozen ultra-distance marathons, which some are listed below.
